Evangelism in Depth calls believers to see evangelism from God’s perspective rather than from a human one. Evangelism is not merely a program or ministry activity; it is the purpose for which God has left the Church in the world. Believers are called God’s royal priesthood, ministers of reconciliation, and ambassadors for Christ. Prayer, worship, Bible study, and fellowship are essential functions of the Church, but they are meant to fuel the greater purpose: being salt, light, witnesses, and representatives of Jesus Christ. Jesus reminds us in John 15:16 that He chose and appointed us to go and bear fruit—fruit that remains. This gives evangelism eternal significance. In 2 Corinthians 5, believers are compelled by the love of Christ to live no longer for themselves but for Him. To glorify God, we obey His purpose and allow Him to work through us so others may hear the Gospel.

Agonizing prayer and constant action are central to Evangelism in Depth. Agonizing prayer means that believers must share God’s own heart for the lost, feeling deep compassion and holy anguish over the plight of the unsaved, and crying out to Him with urgency for their salvation. Paul in Romans 9 shows a deep burden for others’ salvation, while Matthew 9 shows Jesus moved with compassion for the multitudes, seeing them as weary sheep without a shepherd. Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, believers must pray for God’s heart and respond with obedient action.

Centrifugal movement means the power of God working from within believers outward through the Holy Spirit. According to Acts 1:8, the Spirit empowers us to be a witness to a lost world. Our responsibility is obedience; God’s responsibility is the result. Every time we faithfully share our faith, we are successful in God’s eyes because salvation belongs to Him.

The Biblical Guarantees: Why We Never Need to Fear Sharing Our Faith

One of the greatest obstacles to personal evangelism is fear. Many believers worry about what to say, how to start a conversation, or whether they might fail. Yet throughout Scripture, God gives us remarkable promises—Biblical Guarantees—that remove those fears and replace them with confidence.

Jesus repeatedly taught that witnessing is not something we do alone. In passages such as Matthew 10, Mark 13, Luke 12, and Luke 21, He assures His followers that when opportunities arise to share their faith, God Himself will be actively involved. What Does God Promise?

1. God Gives the Opportunities - Jesus said that His followers would be brought before people as a testimony for Him. We do not have to manufacture witnessing opportunities. God is already at work arranging divine appointments in the lives of those around us.

2. God Gives the Strategy - Many believers wonder, “How do I start the conversation?” Jesus answered that concern by saying, “Do not worry.” God promises to provide the right approach and direction when the moment comes.

3. God Gives the Words - Perhaps the greatest fear is not knowing what to say. Yet Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would give believers the words they need at the very moment they need them. Our responsibility is not to create the perfect message—it is to faithfully speak what God places on our hearts.

4. God Gives Wisdom and Power - The Holy Spirit knows the needs of every listener. He guides our words, adjusts the message to the hearts of those listening, and provides wisdom beyond our own understanding. Evangelism is not based on human ability but on God's power working through willing believers.

Three Commands for Every Witness - Jesus gives three simple instructions: do not worry, do not worry beforehand and make up your mind not to worry. Why? Because God has already promised to provide everything needed for the task.

What Is Success in Evangelism? Success is not measured by whether someone immediately accepts Christ. Success is measured by our obedience and availability to God. When we faithfully share the message He gives us, we have succeeded. The results belong to God.

Because of these guarantees; there is no error, because God does not make mistakes. There is no failure, because God accomplishes His purposes. There is no guilt, because we have obeyed. There is 100% success, because we were available for God to use.

A Liberating Truth - The Biblical Guarantees remind us that evangelism is not about our eloquence, education, or personality. It is about God's presence, God's power, and God's promises. Every believer already possesses a testimony, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God. Our role is simple: be available.

As we trust God's guarantees, fear gives way to faith, worry gives way to confidence, and witnessing becomes a joyful partnership with the Lord. The same God who calls us to share Christ promises to provide everything we need to do it.  "Our job is not to save people. Our job is to be available and faithful witnesses. God's job is to work in their hearts." God guarantees His involvement in every witnessing opportunity.
